Mexico TG AM/FM Mono 2-piece Radio
Additional Information
From 1959 through 1964, the Mexico TG was available for all Mercedes. This was a hybrid radio that used tubes as well as a transistorized final stage and transistor DC-DC converter.
Like the original Mexico, it had a Variometer automatic tuner with 3-stage signal seeker sensitivity and a tuned RF amplifier. It also was contained in two cabinets.
The standard radio configuration had one speaker, and a 4 watt output level. It was also available in a 7 watt version. An optional second speaker was available as well.
Black Forest can add an optional auxiliary input adapter to the Mexico TG radio. The connector, discretely located in your vehicle, allows third party audio connections, like a satellite radio or iPod while maintaining the full stock appearance.
