Mexico Tube AM/FM Mono 2-piece Radio

Additional Information

The Mexico tube radio, Becker's first FM tuner, was used from 1953 through 1963 in 190SL and 300SL Mercedes. In the 190SL the FM band was limited to 87-100 MHz, while the version in the 300SL covered the full 87-108 MHz FM range.

This radio iincorporated the Variometer tuner, an automatic tuner with 3-stage signal seeker sensitivity, and was contained in two cabinets with die cast chassis parts.

The radio pictured above is the version used in the 190SL with a reproduction 108 MHz dial scale.

Black Forest can add an optional auxiliary input adapter to the Mexico Tube radio. The connector, discretely located in your vehicle, allows third party audio connections, like a satellite radio or iPod while maintaining the full stock appearance.

This radio is in stock and available for immediate installation or delivery.
